If you've spent even one evening researching MBBS abroad, you've probably seen five different numbers for the same country from five different consultancies. That's not a coincidence — it's usually because most of those numbers include an undisclosed commission baked into the "package fee."
This guide breaks down the actual, verifiable budget ranges for all 8 countries MedPath works with, based on official university fee sheets — not agent quotes. Every number here is what you'd find if you contacted the university directly yourself.
Three real reasons cause the confusion, and only one of them is legitimate:
| Country | Total Budget* | Duration | Visa Needed | Intake |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 🇰🇬 Kyrgyzstan | ₹16–22 Lakh | 5–6 years | Yes | Feb & Sep |
| 🇺🇿 Uzbekistan | ₹18–28 Lakh | 6 years | Yes | Sep–Oct |
| 🇰🇿 Kazakhstan | ₹20–30 Lakh | 5+1 years | Yes | Sep–Oct |
| 🇧🇾 Belarus | ₹21–32 Lakh | 6 years | Yes | Sep–Oct |
| 🇷🇺 Russia | ₹22–40 Lakh | 6 years | Yes | Sep–Oct |
| 🇦🇲 Armenia | ₹25–35 Lakh | 6 years | Yes | Sep–Oct |
| 🇬🇪 Georgia | ₹30–45 Lakh | 6 years | Yes | Sep & Feb |
| 🇳🇵 Nepal | ₹45–60 Lakh | 5.5 years | Not needed | Feb–Apr (MECEE) |
*Indicative totals including tuition and hostel for the full course, 2026-27 session. Exact figures vary by specific university and current exchange rates — verified fee sheets are shared free at counselling.
Usually included: tuition fee, hostel/dormitory charges, and in many cases a one-time admission or registration fee.
Usually NOT included, and often forgotten in budget planning:
Kyrgyzstan consistently offers the lowest total cost among all 8 countries for a genuinely NMC-recognised, WHO-listed medical degree. This is also the country with the most fee variation between universities, so due diligence matters more here than anywhere else.
In June 2026, Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Health completed a State Accreditation review of every medical university in the country, sorting them into three tiers: fully accredited for 6 years, provisionally accredited for 1 year only, and — for 13 universities — failed outright. Any consultancy still quoting fees for a failed university in mid-2026 either hasn't checked, or is choosing not to tell you.
Nepal is the newest addition to most consultancies' country lists, and it sits apart from the rest for one reason: no visa is required at all, thanks to the open border with India. Parents can travel by road. Food, festivals, and daily life feel largely the same as home.
The trade-off is cost — Nepal's ₹45–60 lakh range is the highest on this list — and an additional entrance requirement (MECEE) alongside NEET that doesn't apply to the other 7 countries.
MedPath shares official fee sheets at free counselling — no commission added, ever.
